Federal laws like the OSH Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act require covered employers to display official notices where employees can see them. Employers in every state may also need state-specific notices — minimum wage, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, and discrimination notices are common examples.
